Status of this Blog

This blog is now closed.

It was created on 9 July 2011 and was used to support UKOLN’s IWMW 2011 event. Posts were published before the event and during the event. In addition a number of posts which reviewed the event were published shortly after the event.  The blog was closed on 1 September 2011 although it will continue to be hosted at this address.

The following plugins have been installed on this blog:

• Lux Vimeo: Can be used to embed Vimeo videos (although this has not been activated and it is likely that embedded Vimeo video will be embedded using a different plugin.
• SlideShare Embeds: Can be used to embed slides from Slideshare. Note installed but not yet activated.
• Embed Objects: Can be used to embed objects such as Vimeo videos.
• Google Analytics: Used to obtain usage statistics for the blog.

The blog uses the Twenty Ten 1.2 theme. Note that the sidebar on the right hand side of the windows contains the following widgets:

• Text: A summary about the blog.
• Search: WordPress search facility.
• Recent: Links to the five most recent posts.
• Calendar: Calendar view of posts.
• Meta: Links to RSS feeds and sign-in option.
• Licence: Licence information.

The main authors of posts on this blog were Marieke Guy and Brian Kelly (UKOLN) and Kirsty Pitkin (the IWMW 2011 event amplifier).
