Institutional Web Management Workshop 2010

Network Information at the University of Sheffield

Delegates will be able to access networks via wireless and the use of PC labs.

Wireless Availability

The University's wireless network is available in a number of locations that may be used by the Institutional Web Management Workshop, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • At the Edge: Bar, cafe, dining room, High Tor 1 - 3;
  • At Halifax Hall:All the conference and meeting rooms.
  • Coverage also spreads out into the surrounding areas, most notably the public squares.

Connecting

Delegates should have given information on the type of network connection they will require during the workshop when they filled in the booking form. Delegates who are part of the Eduroam system will be able to use their normal login and password.

Delegates that are not part of Eduroam can request a user name and password for the duration of the conference at registration. Please note an acceptable use policy is in place for this event.

Note that those requiring help getting network access can attend the IT drop in from 11:30 – 12:30 on Monday 12th July, more details will be available from the reception desk.
