Social Activities at IWMW 2013

Informal Social Activities on Tuesday 25 June 2013

If you arrive on Tuesday 25th June and wish to stay on campus you can eat at the Parada Bar (opposite the Library). This serves food until 9pm. Note there may be other conferences taking place at the same time, so we do not know how busy the Parade Bar will be.

If you arrive in the afternoon or early evening you may prefer to go into town to eat/drink. You should travel into town on the 18 or U18 bus (see the travel page) and get a return ticket. The Google map shows where to get off and shows some pubs and restaurants (there are lots of places to eat in the city centre).

The rcommended meeting place is The Star although if you wish to visit another pub on the way The Bell is recommended. These two pubs are to the north of the town centre and are located near each other. However note food is not available in these pubs (on Tuesday nights in the case of The Bell). You may therefore wish to east elsewhere before visiting these pubs. Note that the Ssaracens Head serves food until 9pm.

A list of good pubs is given below.
